The following are Questions and Requests For Clarification that have been submitted to SSUSD regarding RFQ # 2025-PII-1-ARC, and their corresponding Answers. These Answers DO NOT change the Request’s content or requirements. Any such changes, should any arise, shall be published here in an Official Addendum

All other terms and conditions shall remain the same. Each respondent is responsible for transmitting this information to all affected parties of all tiers before the RFQ Submission Deadline.

Question 1: What is the deadline for RFQ Submission?

Answer 1: December 8, 2025, 2:00PM

Question 2: Is there a page number limit?

Answer 2: No page limit was given.

Question 3: What format is required? (This question has included Font Size, Page Size, Color/Black and White, and other similar questions.)

Answer 3: Submission Format was not stipulated. SSUSD expects respondents to use industry standards such as business-type fonts, font sizes, page assembly, and other submission standards for a professional RFQ submission of this type. Submittal maximum page count has not been stipulated.

Question 4: Is the School District definitely going to use a Construction Manager At Risk delivery model for the project?

Answer 4: Construction Management At Risk (CMAR) is not necessarily the delivery method SSUSD will use.  In the RFQ, EXHIBIT C shows a Services Matrix using CMAR as an example. A different Delivery Method may be employed, and will be established before a Request for Qualifications or Request for Proposal for Construction is published. This RFQ will allow SSUSD to evaluate Architect responses.

Question 5: Will the Architect be selected from this RFQ?

Answer 5: SSUSD intends to select finalists from the responses received from the RFQ. When finalists are selected, SSUSD will contact all respondents. Finalists will be scheduled for further interview(s) in anticipation of a final selection.

Question 6: Which attachments are required as part of the RFQ submission package?

Answer 6:   As clearly stated on Page 58 of the RFQ:
This RFP includes the additional attachments listed below. Bid packages that do not include or acknowledge as listed here may be considered Incomplete Submission Packages and deemed Ineligible for consideration by SSUSD.

Question 7: Can we visit the site to view existing conditions?

Answer 7: There are no site visits at this RFQ level. Currently, the location is a vacant dirt lot.

Question 8: Will SSUSD extend the deadline for this RFQ.

Answer 8: SSUSD does not intend to extend the deadline for this RFQ.
